On October 21, 2025, the Rotary Club of New Manila East (RCNME) had the distinct honor of paying a courtesy visit to Malacañang Palace, marking a significant moment in the Club’s history. During this special occasion, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. personally recognized the outstanding men and women honored as the Country’s Outstanding Police Officers in Service (COPS), part of the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Filipinos, one of the nation’s most prestigious awards for uniformed personnel.
The COPS program, a flagship project of RCNME in partnership with the Metrobank Foundation, PSBank, and the Philippine National Police, celebrates police officers who exemplify excellence, integrity, leadership, and unwavering dedication to public service. These individuals serve as shining examples of what it means to protect and uplift communities with courage and compassion.
The visit to Malacañang provided a rare and meaningful platform to highlight the inspiring stories of this year’s awardees, men and women who continue to uphold the highest standards of the policing profession. Their recognition by the President underscores the importance of their contributions to national peace, order, and progress.
For the Rotary Club of New Manila East, this moment was both humbling and inspiring. It reaffirmed our long-standing commitment to recognizing public servants who embody “Service Above Self,” Rotary’s guiding principle. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to honor these exemplary police officers and to strengthen our collaboration with institutions that share our mission of promoting integrity, excellence, and community leadership.
As we look forward to continuing this meaningful advocacy, RCNME remains steadfast in celebrating those who serve with distinction and in fostering partnerships that uplift and empower communities across the country.
