On Saturday, January 17, the Rotary Club of New Manila East formally launched its partnership with World Vision Philippines for a three-month literacy program, Brigada Pagbasa, designed to support and strengthen the reading skills of young learners in Malabon City.
The initiative will benefit 33 students from Catmon Integrated School and Concepcion Elementary School, with a strong focus on improving reading comprehension, fluency, and overall confidence. Through guided reading sessions, interactive learning activities, and continuous support, the program aims to help children develop a solid foundation in literacy, an essential skill that opens doors to lifelong learning and academic success.
Brigada Pagbasa reflects a shared commitment to education as a powerful tool for change. By nurturing a love for reading and learning at an early age, the program seeks to empower students to perform better in school and prepare them for a brighter and more promising future.
The Rotary Club of New Manila East expresses its sincere gratitude to World Vision Philippines, school administrators, teachers, and volunteers who made the launch of this program possible. Together, the partners look forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on the students, their families, and the wider community.
