The Rotary Club of New Manila East (RCNME), under the leadership of President Karlo Benjamin Nisce and International Service Director Mike Dela Cruz, in partnership with its sister club, Rotary Club of Daejeon Jungdo, has successfully secured a combined ₱4,100,000 in Rotary International Global Grants to advance healthcare in both South Korea and the Philippines.
Through Global Grant GG2569306, a state-of-the-art liver ultrasound machine was recently turned over to Daejeon University Oriental Medicine Hospital by RCNME and RC Daejeon Jungdo. The new equipment strengthens the hospital’s ability to detect and manage liver disease, promoting early intervention and saving lives.
At the same time, RCNME leads Global Grant GG2573539 to equip Quirino Memorial Medical Center in Quezon City with an excimer laser and LED microscope for its Dermatology Department. With the project now approved and equipment underway, the initiative promises improved treatment for complex skin diseases and enhanced training for healthcare professionals.
“These twin global grants reflect what Rotary is all about, service without borders, partnerships without limits,” said RCNME President Karlo Benjamin Nisce. “This is what Magis means to us: going beyond expectations, reaching beyond boundaries, and creating impact that transcends nations.”
These twin Global Grants highlight the power of Rotary’s international collaboration, delivering lasting impact, advancing global health, and transforming lives across borders.
